I am a husband, father, attorney, and 7-time Vail Business League softball champion. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, I earned a B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis and J.D. from the University of Oregon.
Since moving to Vail in 2000, I have worked for the Vail Ski Patrol (where I met my extraordinary wife), Timberline Tours (where I guided hundreds of whitewater rafting trips), the Fifth Judicial District Attorney’s Office (where I first-chaired too many jury trials), and Garfield & Hecht, P.C (where I learned how to practice law from some of the best attorneys in the state). Through these different experiences I have learned that work of all kinds, whether with the hands or the mind, reflects our dignity and worth as human beings. Now in whatever I do, I’m committed to being as skillful, diligent, savvy, and disciplined as I can possibly be.
In addition to my passion for the law and the quality of legal services that Alpenglow Law provides, I am committed to our local young professional community. In November, 2012, I founded the Vail Valley Young Professionals Association, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a young dynamic, professional community in the Vail Valley. It is my hope that through the VVYPA’s services and the exceptional people who make up the organization, our local young professionals will be enthusiastic about their work, succeed in their endeavors, meet new people, develop professional skills, learn about the Valley’s history, and give back to the community.
I currently live in Edwards with my wife, a Vail local, and two young boys. We enjoy skiing, chicken nuggets, living room dodge ball, and watching replays of dad’s championship game grand slam on ESPN.
